In most circles, Christmas is about family gatherings, eating and drinking. And it is needless to say that most of the meals on this day are high in fats, processed sugars and other things that are not good for our health. With all these unhealthy foods comes a load of calories that the body may never burn out completely hence settling beneath our skins as fat.

450g butternut pumpkin, diced

2 large pears, peeled, cored and diced

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 chicken or vegetable stock cube
